Hugh Hewitt has advocated a fundraising campaign based on the 20 Democrat Congresscritters whose districts went for McCain/Palin in 2008 but who just voted in favor of Pelosi's Frankenstein health care bill. He suggests a $1 or $10 or more donation per district ($20 or $200 or more) with the money held until after the primaries in those districts have concluded and the local electorate has selected its choice of candidate, so there will be no meddling at the local level. Then the accumulated money, which he believes could easily top $5 million if this is implemented NOW while people are hot about what happened, would be distributed to those Republican candidates to help them defeat the Dems who voted against the interests of their constituents and for Pelosi. Hugh has said there isn't time to create a new entity to hold those funds, and the RNCC seems to be oblivious to the opportunity. FredPAC is a 527 and, I believe, could serve as holder of these funds until time to distribute. What do you say, Fred and Jeri? Can you get hold of Hugh? I sent him an email as well.
